Generally, the cornhole boards are being made from the standard plywood. There are official rules from the American Cornhole Association state that cornhole boards need to be 48 inches long by 24 inches wide. In addition, the board’s hole is 6 inches in diameter and centered 9 inches from the top area of the board and 12 inches from each side. The legs part on the back of the board is 12 inches off the ground. The board also has to be smooth on the top area and finished with the latex paint to allow the bean bag to slide up on the board’s surface.

The scoring and game play requirement

If we are speaking about the rules of cornhole, we shouldn’t forget about how to score and play the game properly. When you play the cornhole game with two against two, your teammate should stand at opposite playing the boards, meanwhile the singles games will have the two competitors that throwing the bags from the same side as each other. In the other hand, the players from one board alternate throwing the whole bean bags at the board on the opposite end of the court. After each player throws all four bags, the score should be added up and then the players on the opposite side of the court would toss the cornhole bags. If the bag goes through the hole in the board, it would worth three points. In the other hand, if one bag on the board, it would worth one point. One thing for sure, the cornhole game uses the net scoring system, the only difference between the team’s points for the round.
